- 2 puruSuni rUpamai – Probably Sri Thyagaraja is referring to some individual who is tormenting him; he considers that person to be the sum-total of his own sins. Please also refer to kriti ‘eTula kApADuduvO ’ – Ahiri where he mentions his cousins as responsible for the torments.
- 3 bAgAye – it is splendid – this is a sarcastic statement.
