- 1 nijapu – nijamu - nija : nijapu - seems to be appropriate.
Commentary
- 2 dabbarala – delusion - This might refer the six enemies – kāma, krōdha, lōbha, mōha, mada, mātsarya – and/or three desires – wife, wealth and children
- 3 velasillu – this word may be taken either as imperative addressed to the mind or as an an adverb of ‘tyāgarāju ’ (listening to the words of this Thyagaraja who is shining as a true devotee of Lord Krishna….) However, as the Kriti is addressed to the mind, this might result in self contradiction. Therefore, it has been taken as imperative addressed to the mind.
