–Srimad Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 3, verse 22 is relevant –
- “I have, O son of Partha, no duty, nothing that I have not gained; and nothing that I have to gain, in the three worlds; yet I continue in action.”
Commentary
- 2 bhAvamu – this means ‘state of mind’, ‘innermost thoughts’ ‘feelings’ etc. In my opinion, there is no equivalent word in English.
- 3 parama kAruNika uttama – this could be taken as a single epithet also – as ‘Excellent among the supremely compassionate’. However, ‘supremely’ seems to make the word ‘excellent’ redundant.
