Commentary
- 1 zOkArNava gatuDai – this could be rendered as ‘zOkArN(a)vagatuDai . But the meaning of ‘avagata ’ (being aware) does not seem to be appropriate. Therefore ‘zOkArNava gatuDai ’ has been adopted.
- 2 mudi madi tappina vRddha tanamucE – ‘mudi ’ means ‘old age’; ‘vRddha tanamu ’ - also means ‘old age’. Therefore, there is some difficulty in correctly translating this phrase.
