  • General – The order of caraNas varies in the books.
  • 1 tanayandu – nIyandu
  • 2 phalamandu kOri – phalamandu gOru - phalamandu kOra . All the caraNas (other than the last one) and anupallavi are connected to the pallavi through the ending word of each caraNa. Applying the same, the word ‘kOri ’ of this caraNa can connect it to pallavi. Accordingly ‘phalamandu kOri ’ is appropriate.
  • 3 bhAgayamA –This is how it is given all the books. However, this word should be ‘bhAgyamu ’ because of the following words ‘dEhi dEhi ’. Sri Thyagaraja seems to exhort his mind to seek the same fortune (bhAgyamu ) as that of Vaidehi; otherwise these words ie., ‘dEhi dEhi ’ by themselves convey no meaning.
  • 4 panthAnuDu – pandhAnuDu . The Sanskrit words ‘panthAna ’ and ‘saMdhAna ’ have similar meaning. In telugu there is no such word. Therefore, ‘panthAna ’ is appropriate.
