- 1 I mahini velasinadEmi – In some books, this has been translated ‘why have You come to Earth (incarnated)?’ In my opinion, this seems to refer to Sri Thyagaraja himself. The very fact that Sri Thyagaraja desires the Lord to be his audience, implies that any other audience and their applauses do not matter to him; though, both versions are given.
