- 3 dharmamu – this word has many meanings. From the examples given in the Charanas, it is not possible to glean the actual meaning intended by Sri Thyagaraja. Therefore, the three meanings – righteous conduct, duty, charity – have been given.
- 4 kramamutO – from the placement of the word, it appears that this word is to be joined to word ‘manavini ’. However, it is also possible to join this word directly to Pallavi.
- 6 vIthi – This is a Sanskrit word meaning ‘road’; the corresponding Telugu word is ‘vIdhi ’.
